Update - Convos between me and the seller this morning. She maintains her postion. They were a nice pink-ed strand of freshwaters anyway and similar to another being sold at TheGemBee so I wouldn't say they are overpriced. Anyway sold on 17 March.
Me: ...Oh and the $199 pearls you have listed, while fabulous, they aren't tahitians, are they? Tahitians don't come in that colour - a cloudier silver grey, yes, but these look like premium chinese freshwaters to me. Very lovely though I must say.
Seller: I am not sure what you mean about the tahitians. They often come in white also gold, silver and plum. I have a $2800 strand of white Tahitains pearls in my store now. I bought these from a man who my Father does business with for 43 years and owns the pearl beds in Tahiti that he grows the pearls in. I am actually going next fall to Tahiti to see them on my way to Australia. So I trust his word. The pearls sold to a girl who was making her bridal necklace with them.
