Hello 👋 again guys. I'm so excited to show you my 2nd lucky ebay.uk purchase 20 years ago. ❤️. I've neglected my pearls over the years and have reignited my passion once again after reading this forum and seeing such lovely pieces 💖 😍.
This is my baby pearl choker necklace.
Freshwater 2mm multi strand. (Are they button pearls?) Not sure!
I actually twist them up taught and wrap them around my wrist for the most perfect chunky pearl bracelet. So gorgeous 😍 💖.
The clasp is currently threaded with cotton temporarily because one strand is lose. It's being mended this week. 😔
This clasp is a mystery. There is no metal markings at all, but for 20 years it has never tarnished and looks bran new 😉 to this day! Lasted better than some silver clasps I have. Very strange 🤔
Can you imagine each tiny pearl is drilled to perfection! The patience and time it took to thread too? ✨️ Would love to know your thoughts on quality and Lustre.

I'm so sorry that no one has responded to your post since last November.
I believe these are called "disk" pearls and they are inexpensive Chinese freshwater pearls. Also, they have really cool machines that position, drill and thread in one smooth process. That's probably why they need to be restrung. When you restring them, well you'll have to thread them one at a time. But that is part of the fun!

I've used pearls like this to mix with other beads and they are truly pretty and versitle.
The claps appears to be a mixture of silver and nickel. Sometimes those clasps are not marked because they are mixed metals. It would be marked if it was silver, white gold or platinum. Less expensive pearl bracelets/necklaces often use this type of clasp.

It is a lovely piece and fun for a chunky bracelet. Good find.
