Duchess of Cambridge Diamond and Pearl Earrings

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this forum and have been learning so much! When I was younger, I associated pearls as something my Mom wore, but now that I'm older, I don't think of pearls that way anymore.

The Duchess of Cambridge went to Holland and wore a pair of diamond and pearl earrings borrowed from the Queen, I was intrigued at how big the pearls were. It looked like the diamond studs were at least 1ct.

Anyone know how big the pearls are?

Hi leanhcpg, welcome to Pearl-Guide.

Those earrings certainly suit her. I'm not sure if I've ever seen the Queen wearing them. As to size...I'm going to guess 11-12mm (short diameter).

What do the rest of you think?

They do look like the ones from the Queens collection ..I'd agree they look like maybe 11-12 mm . Classic look ..I love them .

I think those look like the The Silver Jubilee Diamond and Pearl Earrings. The blog says they are in the 'loaner' collection. ETA There's a page of jewelry loaned to the Duchess of Cambridge, and those are the earrings. (Do I win anything? No? Rats.)

I'm going to be more conservative and guess those are half-carat diamonds (1 cttw), and 9mm drops.

Hmmmm to marry a prince!!! Diamonds look smaller than a carat to me ( unless she had big ears) but its a very wearable earring.
