Thank you again Jeremy and Hisano. Not only Pekin duck (see photo) but also honey-glazed barbecued pork, shredded boneless chicken, beef and also fish... What a treat!

A heartfelt thank you to Jeremy and Hisano for hosting dinner Thursday evening! Food was top notch and we were surrounded by pearl friends. There were so many funny stories!

I took a lot of food pictures that night. I didn’t photograph everything but did get most of it with my iPhone : ).

That's one of my favorite dishes. My late mother-in-law used to hang the ducks in the backyard in Tennessee before preparing them. She made the best Peking Duck I've ever tasted...

A crab dish.

Thanks BN ! I'm sure you had a fabulous time, what a shame the hurricane cut the trip short. It's dreadful there atm so it's best you got out when you did.. I watched an IG video where all the windows had blown out of the hotel room and everything was flying around .... can you imagine being stuck on the 15th floor with no power ??

Wonderful food photos, Baby Nurse! Thank you so much for sharing; it all looks so delicious.

BAS, I used to read the Peking Duck recipe in an old Asian cookbook I had. The book had 327 pages, at least 6 were the Peking Duck recipe :) ... I never did get brave enough to try it on my own ... your mother-in-law's must have been fantastic.

We were very disappointed over leaving early but you're right, the alternative could have been so much worse. We also weren't thrilled with the idea of being stranded at the airport due to delayed/cancelled flights.

Someone said they shut the airport down for two days after you left ... always best to get out of Dodge while you can ! In a hotel with high winds and no power...

Glad you're all safe. The food looks amazing. And I love the ceiling.
