Diamond/silver findings?

My 32'' strand of Tahitians are practically in my mail box and I am beginning to plan my use of them. Well, not so much the use, no doubts there , more how I want to string them and what findings to use - and how much more money I need before I can even get started

I have been looking for high carat gold clasps but today I came across another possibility that I think might look really nice with the dark pearls - antique look silver with diamonds. Below are two pictures of what I have seen. They are $90-100 a piece. I was wondering if any of you know a cheaper source for these.

Ah, those are not intended for the niece. Those are intended for me She'll get a tincup necklace, tincup bracelet, hook earrings and a pendant on a leather thong. The rest of the pearls are all mine!!!!!

At 14 years old I think that plain silver will be enough for her. She is not a dressy kind of girl, black jeans and a t-shirt. She will not even understand the value of the Tahitians - but I am hoping that she will learn.

IMHO pretty good price for those clasps if they are real diamonds, very, very attractive! Antique look is very appealing and complimentary to Tahitians, I agree.

What a great pearl wardrobe for your niece! Bet you are her favorite Auntie!

Be careful with diamonds set in silver. If you lose a stone, it is very hard to find someone willing and/or qualified to do beaded prong repair work in silver. Stick with a necklace or earrings, which won't be exposed to rough treatment. If surface sparkle is enough (which usually seems more reflective with darker stones), I say go for them!

Thank you for your comments! The feedback on the price was a great help, Pattye, and also the tip about watching diamonds in silver.

I have ended up buying the link to use for the Tahiti necklace. I have been looking for a way to incorporate app. 2'' of chain with a lobster clasp and a pearl at the end so that I can vary the necklace between 16'' and 18''. I did find an affordable gold finding at Finding King that could do the job, but the diamond link with tarnished silver chain and clasp would just look way cooler - and could just as well be worn in front for a different look. I think I may actually mix it with some high carat beads as I wear more often than silver. The bracelet could then be done with a the same silver lobster clasp and little gold beads. Ahhhh, the joy of planning...

Both findings are from Etsy, by the way.
