Hi,

I have been lurking for a while and am excited to finally be able to post.

I want to have made a tin cup necklace with my own (so far undrilled) Tahitian baroque pearls that I have been collecting. Do you have any suggestions for who could do the drilling and construction of the necklace? Also, for pearls about 13.5x12 to 15x12, drop shape, do you have suggestions about what would be an attractive spacing between pearls?

Finally, I am considering alternating the Tahitians with white, also baroque South Sea pearls. I would love opinions on whether you think this would look good.

Thanks,
Felicia

Felicia,

Many local jewelers can do the drilling for you, you might ask whether they do it on-site or send it out. Even better, if you let know where you're located someone on this forum may be able to make recommendations.

I am in the Phila. PA area. I would want the same person to drill and to create the necklace. I have made my own jewelry to some extent, but don't think I would be able to master wire or chainlinks to do a tin cup.

Hey Felicia.!!!!

I would like to suggest Kojima pearls. She's a member here. Look at her website. She is utterly reliable, extremely creative and has the drill and skills, needed. She is in CA, (Oakland) though. Philly isn't exactly the most pearly town. You are the first on the forum from there.....
