I got these pearls in the early 90's but they have only been worn like twice and they have been in the original box ever since. I have decided to sell them but I do not know their value. Can anyone help. Thanks, Niki

Hi Niki and welcome,

What length are they? What quality, do you know if they were A, AA, etc? What size are the pearls? All these make a difference when it comes to value. Are the earrings Miki's also?

In early 2009 I sold my pair of 18k stud Miki earrings on ebay. I had the original inner and outer box, sales slip and all documentation. They were A grade, 7.5-8mm, never worn, and went for BIN (buy it now) $325.00.

Doing a search on ebay for a necklace like yours will give you a ballpark figure.

There is a standard list of questions for those who ask for advice or information on pearl - it would be helpful if you followed that pro-forma

Well I guess if I knew that I would not be on this site asking for advice. Sorry for not asking the proper pro-forma.

Thankyou for your helpful advice. If you measure total length of necklace from one end to the next it is 19" long. The Earrings are also Miki's but I am not sure how to figure out the size of the pearls. I am also not sure what grade they are. I know he paid quite abit for them. I believe at the time he paid about 2500.00 for the set. I figured they would be worth more than 350.00 dollars but maybe they go down in value quite abit. Thanks again for your insight. Sincerely,Niki

Hi Niki, Pattye was telling what her earrings alone sold for. You're interested in the value of your set.

Many times people use eBay as a reference for resale. Its good as a market reference.

There are different values attached to items, like replacement value, insurance value or value for resale, that's why the information on the form is helpful. Without the information, it's hard to evaluate what you've got.

sorry if that seemed a snubbish response but many people come here asking for valuations, so we devised a pro forma set of questions to which we need answers before we can give a realistic response. I was directing you to that..
