Blue Tahitians

I obtained a strand of 13mm round tahitian pearls with a very blue and very beautiful body color from an estate sale. They have very good luster and minor blemishes. I louped the drill hole and they appear to be natural color. I've seen an occasional blue pearl in a multi colored strand but never a full strand. Are certain colors more rare (valuable) than others? I paid $1000 for them. Did I get a good deal?[/ATTACH][/ATTACH][/ATTACH][/ATTACH]

Please post photos! How can we guess if we haven't seen it? There is a huge variation in pearls.
