Black Gumballs

Yummy! Oh and nice pearl too.

My sentiments exactly...;) I've always thought Pierce was a cutie, and Pierce with pearl, oh my...

Thanks to all who have graciously congratulated me on my purchase. By all means, I will post a photo of the gumballs on my neck, though the photo might not go up for a couple of weeks, since I'm about to leave for Tahiti! Ironic, yes, to buy a monster strand of pearls BEFORE I leave, but I know that there's no way I would find this strand for this price - or anything close - in French Polynesia. Doesn't mean I won't be getting more pearls, of course!

With regard to the clasp, after discussion with the extremely nice lady who helped me at PP (we had a great conversation about corsets and tattoos, in addition to pearls...), I decided to go for a simple matte yellow gold ball clasp in a size to complement the pearls - she said they'd have to go out and get a special clasp, since the pearls are so large. I was thinking of something fancier, but decided for now just to stick with a clasp that would be included in the price, since I have long hair that would cover the clasp anyway. Gotta save a few bucks for my trip, after all!

For some strange reason, I am never keen on him. Too smooth I believe, not rugged enough :D

I felt that way when he was younger, but now that he's gotten older and scruffier, I think he's cute. A cute geezer! Of course, I still have a thing for Sean Connery... ;)

Same with me. Especially after 'Mamma mia", where he was definitely the biggest charmer of the mall (.. before thiis film I thought I fancy Colin Firth - but not anymore...:D)

This thread has digressed quite entertainingly...but since it has, and it's 2:30 a.m. as I type, gotta put in my vote for Jeremy Irons...too smooth when young, but a gloriously haggard geezer. His voice makes up for the fact that he doesn't wear pearls...

O.K., off to sweet dreams now... :D

Oh Sheri, they are gorgeous.... and glad they are going to such a happy monster pearl afficianado... please please send some photos.

Now it was my birthday yesterday, and it seems like you got the present... I like that thought!

And Pierce Brosnan... I have to agree with the older/scruffier appeal, but what does that say about me (and all the other women that thought the same)?? Olmander - my sentiments exactly about that film and it's leading men... definitely a role swap for me too. Best thing about that movie though was that I made a bet with my husband that if I watched it on DVD with my 15 year old daughter, that I could get her singing along in 30 minutes... and I won!

Of course, I still have a thing for Sean Connery... ;)

Oh yes, he still has that twinkle in his eyes to make a woman weak at the knees :D

I love Timothy Dalton as Bond, after Sean Connery, of course.

I saw him in a BBC adaptation of Jane Eyre back in the early 80's, where he played a brooding Mr. Rochester, and I was hooked for life! :D

He still looks cute playing the baddy in Hot Fuzz, IMHO :D

Ooooo, I agree with the voice bit about Jeremy Irons.

However, IMHO, Alan Rickman beats him hands down :D And he definitely has a certain twinkle in his eyes ;)

I cried my eyes out when I watched him in Truly, Madly, Deeply. Hmmm, better avoid watching that film for a while

I did not see Mama Mia in cinema, and am waiting for it to come out ono DVD, it sounds like a fun film to watch :)

Thank you for bringing them to my attention, Mausketeer...rest assured they're going to a good home...I'll let you know what flavor they are ;)

Sheri

Oh cool! Glad to be of service! I knew pearls that size were rare but didn't know how rare I guess......Hmmm - well you know if they're too LONG and you need to get rid of an extra pearl or two....... ;) hee hee hee.......

Yes, Sheri, please post photos when you get them please! Congrats again......

Well and since we are at it I want to tell you that I like Timothy Dalton very much, I love Alan Rickman with this brooding look of his and I think the new Bond is not good looking but the best Bond. I never liked Sean Connery when he was young but now I love him too....

Pierce Brosnan had a too boyish look for a long time but he became great as Bond, even if I think the ragged look of the newest Bond suits the character best....

To get back to pearls, congratulations on this buy, Sheri. Curious to see what these "monsters" look like on your neck....

O.K, here are the gumballs on my neck...I love love love them. They feel so nice, not too heavy, and warm up wonderfully with my skin.

Sheri:D:D:D
