Thank you, GemGeek!
I didn't pierce ears until I was 34 and have never worn heavy earrings, so my lobes/piercings aren't stretched out. I think my piercings are just higher up on the lobe than is true for many other ladies.
See the photo-- this will explain my problem. The leverback finding is 10mm from the inside of the bottom to the inside of the top. That is the space available for the ear lobe. I just had my husband measure my 2 ears, and on the right ear the piercing hole is 12mm from the bottom of my lobe, and 13mm on the left ear! I can get away with the earring on the right ear, but even so the lobe is a bit squished vertically. On the left ear it's too much of a difference.
I need a finding that has a greater vertical clearance. Or I can use a hook-type finding. (Not crazy about Blossom finding.)
