Baroque Jewelmer Golden SSP from Cees

Those pearls are really lovely on your skin. Happy Birthday to YOU! :)

Thank you, GemGeek!

I didn't pierce ears until I was 34 and have never worn heavy earrings, so my lobes/piercings aren't stretched out. I think my piercings are just higher up on the lobe than is true for many other ladies.

See the photo-- this will explain my problem. The leverback finding is 10mm from the inside of the bottom to the inside of the top. That is the space available for the ear lobe. I just had my husband measure my 2 ears, and on the right ear the piercing hole is 12mm from the bottom of my lobe, and 13mm on the left ear! I can get away with the earring on the right ear, but even so the lobe is a bit squished vertically. On the left ear it's too much of a difference.

I need a finding that has a greater vertical clearance. Or I can use a hook-type finding. (Not crazy about Blossom finding.)

I just measured my earrings pictured...they are 10.7mm from bottom of U to the bar. Maybe a hook would be a better option for your lobe. There are some wonderful designs out there beyond a simple ear wire, or the blossom (although that one is a personal favorite)

Okay, so I had the loose pearls set as studs in the end.

I realized that I prefer my dangle pearls to be drops, or possibly larger round pearls, but not this size (measured at 10.8mm). But it's a perfect size for studs for my large lobes.

I find them very comfortable and plan to wear them a lot. :)

Thanks GemGeek!

I used to think this size was too big for studs but it's remarkable how quickly one gets used to larger pearls. :D

They turned out really well, didn't they? They look wonderful on you!

Your strand and earrings are stunning on you! The color complements your skin tone perfectly.

Just saw this. Beautiful pearls - super nice quality - well done!

Thank you! That's what I thought too, but the jeweler actually thought they would protrude too much sideways.

Which would explain why I didn't see any large pearl studs in his shop, I suppose, despite his having bead nuked FWP, huge flameballs and even baroque blue akoyas.
