All My Pearls

And this. I might make it longer, I haven't decided yet if want to keep wrapping and wrapping. I love this tourmaline, these are natural colored lavender 6mm sized CFW. Back to work, and more fun. :D

It isn't alas - you and I get the fun of buying all these pearls and making stuff, then it gives way to buying more and making more...

Hi Sheryl,
I love all your work, but that last tourmaline and pearl necklace is stunning.......
It looks fabulous the length it is right now.
Mind you, I suppose it'd be twice as fabulous if it were rope length.....:)

SOOOO lovely! I agree pearls and tourmalines are made for each other!

Very pretty-- love the tourmalines!

What gauge are you using for the wire wrapping, 26 or 24? I'm thinking of ordering some 26 gauge wire.

26 and this is gold-filled. For me it's the most useful because of hole sizes in some of the gemstones and briolettes.

Thanks-- I like gold filled myself. It's very durable and mistakes aren't so costly!

Like Boo, I have undrilled pearls (Santa, bring me a drill) and have been playing with wire wrapping. This is one that I just freeform wrapped and wrapped until it got stable; not sure I'll doing anything with it. One of my strange "roaming" pearls.

Then I did some more structured wrapping to create a "Pelosi" tin cup with Tahitians, South Seas White, and South Seas golden.

As usual, Sheryl, very lovely results with designing and making pearl pendants and necklaces. I like the tin cup very much.

Sheryl, I read this post from start to finish and your work is gorgeous! You have a wonderful eye for design and the enhancers are a great touch. I noticed on the "drama pearls" how well they were lined up so each shape played off the next. Good luck to you with your business!

Sincerely- jacqui

I haven't updated in a while - so look out. I've been working with the bag o' pearls from Jeremy, the Tahitian baroques, also from PP, some new whopping South Seas baroques that I got from Augustus collection on Ebay - first time with them, and some gemstones.
Here's the first - the Tahitian baroques. This is strand #345 for those of you that are still keeping track. The pic color continues to frustrate me. These are peacock with lot's and lot's of color, they look all silvery in these. :(

Earrings are aqua drops on the circle.

OK round 2 - are you still with me? Here are some of the bag o'pearls from the beaders' speciall on PP. White pearls with rhodochrosite, mixed pearls with gemstones (#2 the smaller one sold), and the Pikake necklace, named for my mostly flame-point Siamese - peach and white with blue sapphires in between. I even got Miss P (the cat) to pose with the pearls, which she normally will not consent to do. It helped that she was half asleep, but you can't see her blue eyes.

OK, two more of the Pikake pearls, an aquamarine with PP baroque Tahitians, and a strand of Kojima second harvest that are too pretty to capture digitally.

Here's another look at the second harvest pearls, and then the monsters - these are South Seas baroques mixed with the Tahitian baroques. I call it Baroque Obama (sorry I couldn't resist) There is also a monster enhancer. The Tahitians are around 9 mm or larger, so that will help you size the others.
