A red Tahitian pearl

Hisano and I have been sorting Tahitians all weekend and today getting ready to make strands for the holidays. Every once in a while we come across a pearl here and there that just has insane coloration.

I remember this pearl when I dumped out the lot to examine it the first time. I pulled it out and showed it to Hisano. It's a pearl so dark cherry that it's actually all red.

We've sorted through close to 10,000 pearls since Saturday and this is the only one of it's kind in the entire lot.
