$446,000 pearl wedding gown unveiled in Tokyo (video)

Truly an amazing work of art and labor of love. Thanks Nora, the video is great.

I think that might be a little too blingy for Hisano;) We did just have a strand of gem-grade white South Sea pearls with a silver tone and intense orient commissioned in Australia. This is the strand that I am thinking she will probably wear on THE day. It's either going to be that or a natural white hanadama strand in the smallest possible size we can find.

You can't really see them well, though, being white pearls on a white dress. Bit of waste of pearls, really!

That's quite a 'choice' Jeremy......

the earrings accompanying the gown were a sight to see in their own right

This is a very seriously blingy dress, covered (as is the head-dress) by a serious wedge of natural pearls. Probably cost a lot more than the OP, too! And the girl wearing it was only about 11 or 12 years old.

Haha, yes i thought so too....

I think the natural white Hanadamas..

Although I know the silver/white SS will be mind-blowingly beautiful, somehow, 4mm hanadamas, maybe a rope, maybe with several layers on the neck, would be so- Hisano. When she wears small pearls, it makes me LOVE small pearls!!!

Too bad, the 2 links are not working now. I really want to see that wedding gown. However, we don’t need that and we couldn’t afford that gown. I just remembered the longest wedding gown listed in Guinness book.
