Good point Shawna. I think that’s it exactly because I really like the look of this but somehow it seems too much, on me anyway, with necklace on, unless it’s my tin cup.

I didn’t realize Hisano had designed these! Well, they’re beautiful ! I ordered a pair for my mother in law for Christmas. She’s not easy to buy for and I think these will make her very happy

Baby Nurse, lovely ring with your new pearl earrings. Also love the bright red sweater with the white pearls. If only I had pierced ears and could indulge in gorgeous pearl earrings like you have. I almost did it when my daughter did hers. However, I reconsidered because of all the clip earrings I had accumulated.

Luvglitz, for a fraction of a second I felt badly for all the earrings you miss out on, but if course, clip earrings! You are all set.

My mother passed me a beautiful pair of earrings that have little circular backs that you tighten into place. They’re enamel flower earrings and very special. I haven’t worn them once for fear that they’ll slide off but I imagine if I tighten them enough, they’ll stay put. Are you familiar with that type? They screw on, not clip.

BN, I really like the new hoops on you. I agree about keeping it simple so the hoops can shine. Earrings and ring are just enough for wow factor.

I have enjoyed this thread so much. I hope you will grace us with another year of eye candy.

I saw those when the Black Friday specials went live and I had them in the cart and everything and then decided I didn't need them. After seeing them on you I decided to go ahead..why not! They are so pretty and will be wonderful when I don't feel like wearing a strand.

Day 261:

Lavender ripple rope from Catherine Cardellini, layered with pistachio akoya rope (Hisano of little h Jewelry) hooked on to graduated lavender strand (Pearl Paradise). Metallic freshwater drops.

I'm always amazed at how well that pistachio rope and the lavender graduated strand look together. Amazing. And then a rope of ripples to top it all off. Gorgeous.

Its a great combo .. probably works so well as ripples often have a fair bit of green flashing around .... Looks wonderful !

Day 262:

Merry Christmas everyone! This is a quick post because we are off to visit family...

I bought my boys their first pearl jewelry! They are necklaces: Tahitians on black rubber, 16”, bought during Pearl Paradise’s Black Friday sale. They were very affordable at $40.00 each (read I won’t cry if they get lost) and when I tried them on, I thought they were quite nice!

So. Which necklace to give to which child...one pearl has nicer shape and the other better luster.. I quietly snuck into their room last night and held each pearl up to a section of skin that wasn’t covered in blankets. A hand from my youngest and a foot from the oldest lol. Proper neck shots later : )

I thought this one looked nicest on the youngest.




And this one went well with my oldest’s skin tone.
