18k diamond ring with 8mm pearl. What kind of pearl is this?

I am not a pearl expert but this pearl ring is gorgeous.

The pearl has a pretty pink luster to it.

Any help in identifying the type of pearl is greatly appreciated.

Lovely ring! Can you give us more history on the ring? Is it a new purchase? Something that has been in your family for years? Does the pearl look perfectly round in person? The size, color and mirror reflection make me think it is cultured akoya.

I bought it on eBay from someone who listed it as 14k. I used a loupe to look closer and it is 18k. I also tested the diamonds and they are genuine. The pearl does look perfectly round.... Thanks for the reply.
