    Are these south sea pearls?

It is a South Sea pearl strand, so if the price is unreasonably low, it's a good opportunity. The clasp is a popular high-end for silver, but it isn't knotted yet so it the clasp hasn't been chosen.

Dreaming of Home Gardening Oysters or Mussels; help, please?

An old friend of mine just reached out to me last month and asked if this was real. The way it's presented, it's not obvious satire. There are several similar videos on YouTube.

Is Shinlam a legitimate dealer of Akoya pearls?

No, they are not a legitimate company. They operate under a myriad of different aliases and advertise on social media. It's a scam, unfortunately.

Currently in Palawan and heading to Puerto Princesa abd want to buy SSP

You may find good deals in the Philippines relative to some other markets around the world, but the pearls purchased there are not from the Philippines—especially not from Mindanao, as I was told countless times by pearl merchants.

    Is my 8ct pearl real?

I just checked the Etsy seller page. If you're asking whether the pearl is a natural as described, it's not. It's a Chinese freshwater pearl. All the "natural" pearl pieces are farmed Chinese freshwater pearls. It's unfortunate because the seller is referencing astrological purposes and even...

    Pearl Bracelet

Is the piece stamped Mikimoto? What about the size of the pearls? Pearls have no internationally recognized grading or valuation standards. An appraisal will always been subjective and they can vary widely. It really comes down to their best guess, which might not have any correlation between...

    "Assistance with appraisal, please."

It has very little value, unfortunately. Pearls like this are worth a few dollars at most.

How do you open a new can of Attack?

Years ago I made the mistake of smelling it. Never again. I also made the mistake of pouring some on my hand to remove epoxy. Also, never again. I've gotten a bit older and wiser over the years :ROFLMAO:

How do you open a new can of Attack?

I would suggest puncturing the metal piece instead of trying to remove it. Attack is very strong. You will feel the burn if you get it on your hands. With a small puncture, it is possible to wet just the tip of a Q-tip or squirt just a little bit into a small container for soaking without spilling.

I'm sorry to hear that. Unfortunately these aren't really considered valuable in the pearl industry.

    Facebook vendor Shinlam - scam?

No, it is a scam. It's difficult to keep track of all these scam pearl sites popping up from China. Facebook and Instagram don't do anything about them, unfortunately. Here is a link to a few more of these scam sites. Most of them seem to be run by the same group of people.
