Hello everyone,
I'd like to learn how to thread pearls and need to know the basics and where to start. Ideally, I'd like to practice on less expensive pearls to see first if I can do this before I try my hand on my dream pearls (still to come).
Eventually I'd like to gain enough confidence to...
The 52" rope baroque multipearl (SS Golden, white and Tahitian) strand is roughly the same price as the the one featured in the Kamoka boutique, plus it has an 18k gold clasp with diamonds.
I guess I'm still learning but I had not heard of a white Tahitian. Does this actually exist?
I'm not considering the ring but was stuck by the white tahitian pearl.
I came across the a beautiful catalogue that featured pearls in an interesting and lovely manner. The first strand features a tahitian pearls that go from grey to black. The second is a beautiful 52" strand that includes Gold, White and Tahitian baroque pearls.

Hello Rusty,
Great insight.. There is always a lot to consider when looking at any company big or small. What do you know about their environmental/industry practice. It would be great to hear that they also invest in industry leading operational practices, etc.
I had a look at their online...
Hi Alex,
It is likely that this contrast/conflict that elevates this piece to "work of Art".
[Art - yes I agree, I am guessing it would have been the juxtapositon of a precision cut gem, with the (un-cut) pearls that the designer was after (bringing a modern look to the 'Sultan' effect)
Does any one know of farmers, producers, etc., that practice fair trade and utilize well regarded industry production practices in the pearl industry for whites/golds?
It really does depend on the individual. I'm hoping that given he is so young, just turning 18, he will be open to wearing a Tahitian pearl on a bracelet or on a necklace. On either a leather or rubber stand, it still looks very masculine.
Hello All,
I'm loving this thread as I was just looking into purchasing pearls for the young boys/men in the family. I am considering a single Tahitian pearl on a rubber or leather bracelet/necklace for my oldest nephew's 18th birthday. I had a chance to look at the cliclasp system and I am...
I agree, a simple strand is very wearable everyday. I also love to look at options at can add a jewelled something for the rare special occasions use.
I also really love looking at gorgeously designed necklaces that are near works of art. Keep referencing sites that showcase beautiful pieces.
