Pattye, Those shells have a lovely color. The artist in me wants to try draping different strands of pearls over them and take photos!

English is obviously not their first language. They need some help with translation and editing. Maybe their cultural background affects their business ideas? - interesting! :confused:

In the close-up they look genuine. They seem to have good luster and some nice orient. The size isn't mentioned, but if there are 96 pearls in a 30 inch strand, it gives you a pretty good idea of their size. It looks like it could be a very nice strand. I wonder where they've been all these...

Josh, As usual, your photos of Tahitian rounds in those fabulous colors makes me feel like I could never get enough of them. I love the circle pearls as well, but there's something about the colors in those those rounds...:D

I think it depends what you're going to wear them with and the look you're trying to create. I love the unique shapes and color variations of the baroques, and they often have high luster. But for a more formal look I would go for the AAA rounds and choose a strand with a deeper color and...

It's hard to give you a precise estimate of the strand's worth without seeing the pearls or a very clear photo that can be enlarged to see what kind of surface irregularities are present. Pearls vary so much in surface quality, luster, roundness, overtone, etc. A strand can be graded AA or AA+...

Great photos of a great necklace, Terry. I really like the way you can see the other pearls reflected. Choosing them from loose pearls and making up the strands yourself definitely makes a superior necklace.
