    How to identify this strand?

Cost of re-stringing Cost of re-stringing I haven't had a chance to take the double strand to my usual jeweler to get an idea of re-stringing costs since its about 25 minutes away from me. However, today was out and took it to a local jewelry store about 2 miles from my house. I got an...

    How to identify this strand?

Restringing Restringing Yes, the double strand just fits around my neck and when I hold it up, very dainty indeed. Maybe having it restrung into one long strand might be really nice, thank you for the suggestion. I don't have anything that long (about 28 inches in length). I see what you mean...

Drop or circled baroque tahitian pearl strand?

Okay, I like the 2nd and the 4th one (more green/rose & blue). I am still deciding between two strands at PP, but now seeing these COLORS, WOW, I really like them and wouldn't a necklace of these AWESOME!!!

    How to identify this strand?

Hi, When I visited my sister last week she gave me this graduated double strand of pearls (though the clasp is broken). I took these pictures without a flash, since the flash pics came out bleary. They are not this yellow as shown in the pictures, but not white either. I don't know if they're...

Drop or circled baroque tahitian pearl strand?

The strand I was looking at.....Here is what Kirsten said.... "Yes, there are a lot of silver and blue colours in that strand. It has medium and rich colour but not, as you say, as dark as #252. It still is neutral enough that it should not be limiting with your wardrobe. If you have fair to...

Drop or circled baroque tahitian pearl strand?

Hi, As indicated by Jeremy at PP, Kirsten did indeed set aside 5 baroque strands for me to see and I did check them out. I talked to another pearl-guide member and she said she preferred the circled type of baroque strand and liked the darker colors. That is what I was looking for too, but now...

Can these two baroque necklaces be compared?

PS--I forgot to mention there are several more Tahitian strands now available at PP than yesterday. I thought I would get a chance to purchase the strand Jeremy gave the link since I had been alerted by email they were coming. I had really wanted a strand with more greens and pinks like the one...

Can these two baroque necklaces be compared?

So, I believe this is the strand I was looking for and followed the link that Jeremy provided....and guess what, its out of stock, but doesn't say sold? Not understanding that..... Yesterday I received an email from Kirsten at PP....please see below. Not sure what to make of this at all. Any...

    Seeking advice pink pearl bracelet

Hmmm. That is an idea, but I would wait to make sure on of my girls uses the dress. There must be HUNDREDS of beads, quite a task since they were all hand sewn. But a good idea to remove them, then have it cleaned. Thanks.

    Seeking advice pink pearl bracelet

Yes, I do have extra material that could be done. I'm not a seamstress, but perhaps someone could do that. My mom always saved all scraps of fabric. The only thing I don't have is more beads. I'm trying the Woolite suggestion right now, so hopefully that will work, but so far, not much luck.

    Seeking advice pink pearl bracelet

Front of dress Front of dress Here is the front of dress...the sleeves would need to be steamed out and with the high neck, there wouldn't be any need for a necklace. Wouldn't pretty pink pearl earrings and a bracelet be a nice compliment to this dress?

    Seeking advice pink pearl bracelet

Hi, A week ago I wrote and said I was going to the International Gem & Jewerly show with my sister. After reading a few posts about what to expect, (commerical pearls, lighting, other issues) we decided not to go. My sister, however, did give me her wedding dress. She does not have children...

What do you think the new monthly special will be at PP?

I just remember my grandfather always wearing the ring and I believe there are pictures of him with ring on when I was just a baby and I was born in 1960. My grandmother kept the ring, and when she died in 1982, my sister received the pearl ring. She took the pearl out and just kept it stored...

What do you think the new monthly special will be at PP?

Yes, I wore it a lot and the constant moving of the chain caused this. I looked at the pearl before taking to the jeweler the first time and when it was done with the hole drilled and chain attached and didn't see any problems. Then the damage occurred, and I was really upset. Just my...

What do you think the new monthly special will be at PP?

Okay, the pearl has a lot of sentiment for me. It came out of a pinky ring my grandfather wore every since I could remember. He died 36 years ago. It's just a black pearl, I'm sure not a Tahitian, but it does mean a great deal to me. I had the pearl drilled all the way through and put on a 16...

What do you think the new monthly special will be at PP?

Yes, I agree about the looks without the brackets (couldn't think of the names), but I am just sick over the damage of the pearl. I will try and take pics and show you.

What do you think the new monthly special will be at PP?

About the solitaire About the solitaire Your solitaire pendant....does the chain go through pearl only, or does it go through with gold tubes so the chain doesn't rub against the pearl? I had a pearl of my grandfather's put on a chain by a local jeweler and it wore down some of the nacre of...
