Do you think length also depends on pearl size? This is a 36" rope, but the pearls are 12mm and I'm not sure I would want it any longer. But that's just me. :) It has a toggle clasp. I put clasps on all my ropes because it gives them more wearing flexibility.

3 lines leather tied and knotted. The pearls are glued in place. Leather and Tahitian pearl. Makes you feel like Steven Tyler when you wear it! :eek: Or very organic, or just plain amazing. :cool:

They're freshwater, natural colors. In some light they are more "pondslime," but sort of look like a little sibling of the Chinese "Kasumis."

What about something like these. They are not the Chinese Kasumis, but smaller (10 -11mm) and might not overwhelm your other strands or your purse.

I'd be careful with that neckline. It's very powerful. What about a choker strand of very small pearls, Kojima site has some 5.2mm - 6mm vintage biwas - something like that. Small and delicate. Than something big and bold on the wrist. Maybe one bracelet of South Sea and one of Tahitians...

The press should have taken close-ups of those pearls!

I drill with a Japanese pearl drill, and the biggest danger is that cute little top. This includes centering it and also blowing the top off, which isn't an "official" term, but sometimes it happens.
