The strand on the right was from PP's Monthly Special. I purchased this strand to go with the left strand which I purchased from an eBay seller about a month ago. The earrings were also from the same eBay seller. Pattye kindly provided me with information on what to look for on an akoya strand.

From what I see on all my monitors, the larger size akoyas don't seem to have the same color saturation as the smaller size ones. They look pale compared to the smaller size akoyas.

You might want to check with PP if they have a matching pair of earrings ;).

All Due to the uncertainty of my job at the moment, I have decided to put my purchase on hold. My disappointment is beyond words. I believe all these gorgeous 4 strands are still available for lucky buyers out there. I personally saw the strands and they were truly amazing.

Oh Sueki!! Please post your pics here. To me, we're all friends. I have more serious issues to worry about at the moment than worrying about pearl threads I started.

One of the tricks from this forum that I think brings out the colours is to put the strand under water in a white container. This seems to work well for me.
