    My First Strand x Infinity

Junebug: I'm mostly a lurker too. Your pearls are beautiful and you did a great job. I remember feeling like I really accomplished something with my first knotting job. I'm so impressed that you were able to teach yourself how to do it -- I had to take a class. Congratulations

One Pearl Clasp..and at these prices!

That's not a bad price for a gold clasp. Gold prices are so incredibly high that any clasp is going to cost. Try Bella Findings -- they have the flower clasp with a pearl in the center but I don't know if they have it as a double clasp. However, the clasp will be around $50. Kate

    Help me pick one....

They're gorgeous. You couldn't go wrong with any of them. It's interesting how so many of us are drawn to different strands. Just goes to show that they're is always a pearl for everyone. Can't wait to see the neck shot. Kate

    Help me pick one....

Choices, choices, choices..........I'm a fan of #1 and #5 for a few reasons that are based on my personal preference. I have always wanted a multicolored baroque Tahitian necklace but one with lots of color variation and with obviously ringed pearls. But any of them would be fabulous! Kate

    icomepacks on eBay?

I think a lot of ebay sellers from China think that by using the term "south sea shell pearls" they are conveying that they are not real. But most people don't know the difference. However, they often use grading like AAA or AAA+ (etc.) when describing south sea shell pearls, which makes no...

Question about overtones on bright white freshwaters

What about blue? Sometimes (although not often) I've seen some with a blue undertone that are gorgeous. Regarding skin tone, blue and gold (orange and yellow) are opposite on the color wheel and compliment each other well. Just a thought. Kate

    Question about flameballs

That sounds great. The person I want to make them for is pretty tall and usually wears larger jewelry but I was worried about the weight. Round pearls are not her style, but flameballs suit her perfectly. Thanks so much for the response. I feel confident now that I can proceed. Kate

    Pearllunar is active again

I usually offer around 30% below and end up usually between 20-25% from the original price. It depends on the item. I have found their on their more expensive lots there is less wiggle room; usually about 18-20% and on less expensive lots 25-30%. I'm not sure I agree they use stock photos...

    Question about flameballs

I'm thinking about making a flameball necklace of pearls that are 19-22mm by 9-14mm. Would the necklace be too heavy if it were all flameballs or should I make a tin cup? Thanks, Kate

    Youpearl.com

I've always been pleased with what I've gotten from youpearl although I do not understand why their single pearls are so high priced. I've always found shipping to be quick (usually about 10 days) and prices fair for what I received. No they aren't the highest quality, but for craft pearls I've...
