Mum has decided to sell this brooch and it will be auctioned at Bonhams on December 4th x

I have just had confirmation that the drop pearl on the brooch is a natural grey saltwater pearl, don't know if that is a rare type of pear or not?

It is still worn by my mother when the occasion arises but not often.

The Drop pearl is approx 13mm x 9.7mm

Thank you for rotating for me, the drop is not removable. It was bought in 1919 by my Great Grandfather for my Great Grandmother and has been in the family ever since.

Thought I would share this on here as its beautiful, it belongs to my mother. The drop pearl has a grey tinge it has been questioned as to whether it could be a black pearl?

Just measuring and counting and estimating there are are at least 20,000 pearls on this necklace x

I have this seed pearl rope necklace, it was given to my great grandmother on her wedding day in 1912 and I don't know if it was a new gift or handed down. I also have no idea of the current value.
