    Inc Mag

Congratulation to your Inc.Magazine story. Jeremy Shepherd "created a „luxury for less" campaign and priced his strands of Tahitian pearls, which usually sell for $500 to $700, at $300 each.“ That surely sounds very tempting. Will a lot of these thousands of strings which PP customers are...

    The Pearl Doctor

Is the akoya pearl not undergoing about the same chemical treatment as the freshwater pearl? I was under the impression that the quality of the freshwater pearl improved also due to the information the Chinese were able to gather about the Japanese methods and successfully apply those by themselves.

    The Pearl Doctor

My experience is that freshwater pearls keep their lustre quite well, if you stick to the rules, which are posted in this forum under the thread Pearl Care. The Ethical Pearl Consumer

PearlA, I don;t think you should be too worried of pollution caused by the cultivation of freshwater pearls. To successfully grow pearls of good quality it is necessary to watch out that the water is not too polluted. If the farmers wouldn't pay attention they would harm their own interest...

    Natural?? Any opinions?

I have not much experience with natural pearls, but I have never seen a necklace of natural pearls, where the pearls are so well matched, so much alike in size, shape and colour like yours. So just as Pattye I would assume that they are cultured pearls.

Some more Kamokas - with a wrist shot!

Every time I am struck by their lustre and amazing range of colurs. At first I thought this was due to a specially...
