    Tahitian Keishi Choker

Yes, very hot. My husband won't even wear one on a leather cord. Go John go!

    My favorite earrings

An extraordinary body of work! You are a true artist. I especially love the large keshi and stardust bead earrings. And the fireballs, and the rope and exotics and....

    Chocolate Tahitians and Freshwaters

The natural brown tahitians that I have seen are copper, muddy brown that really is chocolate-colored, and bronze to almost gold. What is really neat is that the browns can be the body color and they can be any overtone on top of that. I have seen green and lilac overtones over brown. It...

PP's March special is here - Chocolate FW

I would think it depends on the tone of the chocolate pearls. My earrings have a copper look to them, which I think is much better with yellow gold. The freshwater ones I've seen have a deeper chocolate tone that I think would look nice with rose gold.

    Loot!

Yes, I like them a lot too! The colors are really nice!

    That's a great idea...sell them with 3 interchangable pearls!

    Enhancer

You can also use a head pin and wire wrap if the pearl is drilled through. Make sure the head pin is heavy enough (20-22 gauge).

    The Silk Challenge

I'll be very interested in the results. I do not stretch my silk wet. Doesn't this weaken the thread and cause them to unwind a bit? (Especially gudebrod, which is nice, but has a tendency to be weaker than griffin and the three strands are wound less tightly it seems.) I've always thought...

    David Beckham and Men's Jewelry

I think I think I saw a tahitian bracelet on Randy Jackson on American Idol last night. It seemed to have earthy overtones or body color. It wasn't a long take so I'm not sure. Anyone else see it?

    Freshadama questions

Hi. Casey, I have really high expectations of freshadama after participating here. I would also be disappointed with that strand, so don't second guess yourself. :-)

    I would like experts opinion

Those really do look nice. I love the pointy drop shapes myself and the luster is great. I bought an akoya rope from them but I wanted to know about their quality before selling them in my designs and it turns out the nacre was onion skin thin. Remember, you *usually* get what you pay for...

    Faceted Tahitian Pearl? Check this...

The facets show up nicely on the black ones. I have a couple of pink faceted freshwaters somehere...meant to be accent beads...never used them but I meant to do them up with rose quartz. Thanks for posting the pictures. I never thought about faceting tahitians and didn't realize until...

    Faceted Tahitian Pearl? Check this...

Is there anyone else besides me that can see the picture? If not...maybe I can repost it a different way.

    Faceted Tahitian Pearl? Check this...

Ok. I just managed to get my jaw closed after stumbling across this remarkable piece. Will try my hand at posting a link to it. http://www.jewelrytelevision.com/index.aspx?tid=21847&cm_sp=&Nrppo=0&Ntt=tahitian%20pearl&N=51&No=48&cm_re=Results*4*3&cm_pos=63&bca=XTJM036&ptid=7362&R=2800504 So...

    Some nice finds from E-Bay

Ok, a practice quote. Plus, I'd just like to point out that for the last five years, I have never passed a jewelry store without at least stopping in to look at the Tahitians and other exotic pearls they might have. It absolutely amazes me how little the average jeweler knows about...

    All about silk thread

Here is how I currently do things. It never occurred to me to use any thread but silk when I do work with pearls for myself and customers...other than pearls mixed with stones/metals that might tear or fray the silk (gemstone beads from India, in particular, are highly irregular and sometimes...

    Bead Exchange?!

Hi. I am cleaning out and organizing all my supplies. I have come across a lot of stuff I don't expect to use. Some are marked for ebay...but I am usually too lazy to set up auctions. :-) Anyway, I'll bet lots of us have nice beads that just don't move us that someone else might love...
