Design and Win a Natural Abalone Pearl

Not at all Claudenancy, I dont think I posted my tornado pendant, just the wrapped rings. I think it really is a case of great minds thinking alike! I adore your leaf pendants, very fluid & lyrical. I did not make these, but they exhibit a similar effect. Amazingly, they have a 'nap' and feel...

    uhm... ?

I wondered if the Pearl Police could be bothered with this kind of seller, but then thought why should anyone get away with it, it only serves to downgrade pearls in the eyes of the general uneducated public. #250554725511 9-10MM White Round Freshwater PEARLS Loose Beads 15" from piulochong (...

    Swoon!

He only let me take a few quick shots, before he took them away, but they show both sides of the clasp. I have to agree, the clasp looks too big in proportion the the very small pearls, maybe it was lavish to impress "Gran". I suspect the clasp is Platinum, partly because it is still so bright...

    Swoon!

Thats what I thought, I guess she thought somewhere Middle Eastern. Does the clasp look 1920'S?

    Swoon!

A customer brought these in today, just to get a feel for their value. The story handed down, from Gran, is that they are Dead Sea pearls, from someone between husbands 1 & 2, and one day when she gets really sloshed, she will divulge all. My hands were shaking I was so excited to see them. Any...

Sorry Inge, the customer collected them already... & left me some more earrings to convert. Looks like I have stumbled upon a winner here.

    Silver keshi version

I made earrings for my Aunt, who's ear piercing had grown to a line rather than a hole, shown in another thread. (Heat & Pearls post #34) The post is placed on the lower section of a disc, which covers the line. It seemed like such a practical idea, I suggested it to another customer, who had...

    Ocean acidification

I have to ask...do you Tango? There is a thread about pearly people & dance, you might have some fun there too. It seems quite a few people here have dance in common as well as pearls.

    not an engagement ring...

Ok, looks like my suspicions were correct. So who has Mabes in Australia? I dont recall being offered many from the suppliers I usually see, but then again I have never asked to see mabes...

    not an engagement ring...

A customer brought this ring in to replace the pearl. I had just taken delivery of a few from Nerida, and just by luck, they were a pretty close fit! However, there is a hole in the bottom of the ring, where I expected a post to be, and a round pearl which fits the bezel sits up very high, &...

Back from a London journey, more stories about pearls

Something about that dragon strikes me as European, even though the dragon eating a pearl is an Oriental theme. I love the multi coloured garland the Cupid is skipping over.
