    NEED HELP! Sustainable Caribbean Pearls

As Pattye says, this sounds very interesting, and she is correct that being the only Caribbean pearls may have no factor in market value, but it could have tourist value. We would all love to see more pearl farms, especially where they can be sustainable. There are too many hypotheticals to...

    Mikimoto Necklace Question

Even high grade pearls have some variations in texture. These are tiny imperfections that would never be seen when worn. They are proof that they were made by oysters and not a machine. These are beautiful high quality pearls so you should feel good about the soundness of your purchase.

    Linda's Lowly Beading Adventures

Interesting real-life fixes. Someday, when I get back to knotting an endless strand, I will do the six pearl with glue technique! :) Right now, I am busier with work than ever. In fact, I am spending time here avoiding the two or three hours I need to do today to keep my head above water. :)

Love the bracelet. The pearl size is perfect to not get in the way, but still be available for viewing enjoyment. Can't wait to see what the second pendant looks like. Maybe you can wear them with different length chains for an upper and lower arrangement in a multiple necklace grouping. And I...

Looking for South Sea button-shaped pearl for engagement ring - based in Australia!

You may want to purchase a backup pearl at the same time. I had a South sea pearl that bumped into something that took a divot out of it, even though I was careful. It was a button shape, which is not uncommon and normally the lower profile will help protect it. :)

White/Gold south sea pearl in Philippines?

If the pearls must be color matched, buying uniform sized strands might be a better bet even if you don't use all the pearls.

    "The KJM Collection" - Andrew's Mom's Pearls

Those are both fabulous. That GSS color is just about the only color that looks good against my skin tone. But everything about them is stellar. The akoya. Sigh. :)
