Has anyone had any experience with Judith Ripka Pearls? From what I can find, it seems like the designer mostly used Fw pearls. The shape and luster on this looks okay but I would really like to buy akoya.

Has anyone gotten pearls from this designer? What’s your judgment on the quality?

Many thanks for any feedback!

They look like freshwater pearls to me, because of the eggy shapes. I'm not familiar with the brand, though. The nacre looks good. If you like the clasp and the price is right, enjoy.

Hi,
I recently learnt new reputable pearl brand names beyond Mikimoto, Tiffany&Co,.. Judith Ripka Pearls is one of the acknowledged, reliable pearl jewelry brand and considered as luxury. Personally, I don’t own one from that brand. I guess AKOYA PEARLS would always have their own place in our hearts.

Judith Ripka sold her name brand in 2014, previously it was considered a fine jewelry brand. She sold on QVC and had a retail store in New York. Now other designers are carrying on in her style. She did primarily gemstone jewelry with some freshwater pearls. These freshwater pearls would be tissue nucleated, and appear to be good quality. The clasp is especially attractive!

Judith Ripka had two jewelry lines -- the upscale, diamonds and platinum items for celebrities, which is where she gained fame, and the sterling, CZ lines sold on TV shopping networks. Even though Judith retired, her jewelry line continues on JTV. So, check your hallmarks, I guess?

It’s true these certainly looks like FW, especially paired with a sterling clasp. The clasp is accented with 18k and diamonds so I wonder which line would this particular design would fall into. Thank you for your lovely comments. It’s interesting to learn more about this brand.

You are like a library. I learn everyday from you.
