Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

Those Kasumis are amazing. And I was just thinking we needed to raid JEGs close for her linen dresses. I just started breaking out my linen in Florida as it's super hot and humid now.

Or we need shopping advice from our new stylist.

Thank you so much, theseventhsphinx and BWeaves! I do love loose clothing in general. I would have a lot more oversized pieces if they weren’t soooo oversized. These are mostly oldies, and I have several colors and patterns in the same styles.

I wore this strand of rare Japan Kasumi keshi, from Kojima, a couple times. Once with freshwater earrings I put together, and again with earrings from little h.

OMG...the flat-keshis are truly special and that clasp that kinda looks like a gold-nugget...Love it!

Kasumis, Keshi and Little H's alongside with flowers...what a great way to start Shavuot!
Happy weekend everyone!

Thank you, Douglas! Hope you are having the best day ever!

A friend of mine recently returned from Italy. She brought some Murano glass beads back for me to play with. Some of them are meant to be used as slides, so I haven’t decided what I’m going to do with them yet, but I used these flatter ones to make a bracelet. Wearing the bracelet with a strand of golden SS’s from Kojima.

Golden delights...small tributes to Amon-Ra! He would have delighted in wearing Golden pearls for sure!
The Murano beads bring back fond memories of when my wife had a small operation producing jewelry and I had to play with the kids just so she could finish work and avoid them from eating the "strange candy" ;)

Haha, your kids would’ve had some extended playtime over this little project, Douglas! Four beads is an off number to work with. It started as a necklace, but it hung like a square, then it took a couple attempts to create the placement between the beads in order to make a bracelet. I’m happy with the result, though. I‘m having dinner with my friends who brought these back for me later this week, so I will be sure to wear it.

Tiny Tahitians! I am really loving these tiny, colorful pearls. I love Tahitians anyways, and these tinies are just so special. When I knotted these loose 6-7mm Tahitians from Collins Pearls, I had intended to make a length that I could triple as a bracelet. It ended up being longer because I loved all the pearls and didn’t want to leave any of them out. I’m wearing it tripled, but it is a little too big.:dunno: Wearing the tripled strand with another strand of tiny Tahitians from Collins Pearls, and the shorter strand is a strand I knotted with loose pearls from Druzy. I am assuming these pearls originated from Alex’ farm since tiny Tahitians are exclusive to his farm.

The shorter strands have a darker composition and are 6-8mm

As pearl farmers...we are always looking for BIGGER pearls since that is "where the money" is supposed to be (that is what we were always told) but there is always a spot for niche pearls and 6-7 mm black pearls are a great idea. And I always noticed something...smaller pearls had better luster and colors than the larger ones (on average) so you had prettier pearls!

Thank you, Jeremy, for the very kind compliment! I dream of more of the tinies to play with!

Douglas, I really love the smaller pearls, and I do agree that so many of the smaller pearls I’ve seen, especially in Tahitians, have had nicer luster and color.

Wearing two very early Edison strands from Pkinnew’s collection, and originally from PP.

Thank you so much, 86C! I’m so happy you stopped by! It’s been a while, and I hope everything is great with you.

Wearing the Tahitian harvest rope from Collins Pearls with earrings I made with Tahitians and SS Myanmar keshi.

The luster is superb!

Thanks, Douglas! I can’t remember what Alexander called this strand, but to me, it’s a harvest strand since it is representative of all the types of Tahitians harvested at his farm. A fun strand to gaze at…

A strand of Akoya and a pair of studs from Takahashi Pearl, with two baby Akoya and Akoya keshi with pearls from Hong Kong (thank you for introducing me to this farmer, Jeremy!), and a Japan Kasumi ring worn as a pendant from Kojima.

Thank you, Jeremy and BWeaves!!

Bubbles and sister strand made of fancy colored Tahitians from Kojima. I just finished re-knotting the sister strand so I thought I would wear it. Also, two bracelets of J.Hunter Fiji pearls. I bought the J.Hunter toggle bracelet in Fiji, and chose the pearls for the orbit clasp bracelet at PP.
