hello everyone, happy new year to you all,i hope you dont mind but i would like to share with you a very nice surprise i received on new years eve.i went to my local fish mongers in south london and bought 25 wild pacific oysters for new years eve with my wife.i bought some extra as my 30th birthday was on the 5th of january and i had a gathering with my family so figured i woiuld get some extra for the occasion.on new years eve i opened up a dozen of the little delicacies and a bottle of champagne to celebrate.as we were eating the oysters i bit down on something hard,to my astonishment i spat out a perfectly formed nearly, almost perfectly spherical pearl.its about 4mm in diameter and is a very interesting colour, greyish, black, green which i can only desccribe as marble looking.i know this is a rare find.some people dont believe me,others say its worth something and others say surely its worth nothing more than a few quid.im taking photos now so will post them shortly.i also have a couple of oysters left too just to show you the type.i checked though and they are indeed wild pacific oysters.i wonder how rare is this find and what would you guys do with it?
