I don't know about the other sites, but we've been out for a little bit and are expecting to restock any day now... The 7.0-7.5mm size is by far the most popular due to it's versatility, so it could just be that the 7.5mm Hanas got really popular all at once (odd, but rushes on certain items do happen for no particular reason occasionally lol).
As to the pink/rose hues- you can ask specifically to have deep rose hues or light rose, or silver-rose or ivory-rose; hybrid overtones and color saturation levels vary from pearl to pearl (or pair to pair), so purchasing a specific hue or saturation level is do-able, and as a customer satisfaction issue, preferred! Most vendors would be more than happy to email you images of prospective pearl pairs to ensure they send you exactly what you're looking for.
Thanks for the info. on colors and asking them for pics, too. Very helpful.
I would be happy to just choose the pearls by looks and get the lower price without the hanadama cert., but it is extra assurance since I will be buying by mail. Even a pic is not the same as seeing in person.
Thanks, all. I guess I will just keep checking until somebody gets what I want back in stock at a price I want to pay.
Got 'em! Gorgeous Pearl Paradise 7.0 -7.5 hanadama studs. They are mirrory and wonderful. My husband is trying to take a picture, but our camera is not picking up the pink and green iridescence.
It is my Mother's Day present. One perfect pearl for each perfect child, if I don't say so myself.
I plan to make them my regular earrings. I had a discussion with a friend a while back and was scolded for keeping my best stuff, whether it's jewelry or bags or whatever, packed away in a drawer. I decided she made perfect sense. The best is for every day.
Also, the certificate says "Special Appellation: Aurora Hanadama." Do they all say that? If not, what other "special appellations" are there? I'm keeping these. I love them! So, just wondering.
I'm glad you love them! The certificates were redesigned last year (and the year before) and that was added to describe pearls exhibiting orient. So they have an aurora, as they call it. I'm sure it makes sense to them, although I would have just said "orient." There aren't colliding atoms and energetic charged particles inside those pearls
