What type of pearls

Hello All,
I was wondering if someone could help me identify
what type of pearls these are. They have a soft mellow
glow and very pretty iridescence when light hits them
just right. I know that the clasp is sand-cast, Japanese,
and old. The sizes range from about 16x10mm to 12x9mm.
Unfortunately one has a hole in it and you can see
the wire. It's just over 19", 46 pearls and just over 83.9grams on
USPS scale. Overall there is a dark gray body color.
I bumped u the color and contrast to try to capture their
beauty. The photos don't show them justice.
I tried "candling" them. There was no opaqueness.
Thom
Thank you very much in advance for your help! 😊

They look look like not very good, dyed, cultured freshwater pearls from China to me, too.

The clasp also looks like a silver one I bought from Fire Mountain Gems about 10 years ago.

The pearls are strung on coated wire with a crimp tubes, which is not a traditional way of stringing pearls. It's also not a very old way of stringing beads.
