I got these from my mom IMG_3041.jpgIMG_3042.jpg

can anyone tell me what these are worth and what they are

They appear to be freshwater pearls and a much better quality of freshwater pearl than you would typically find in a jewelry store.

Agreed - definitely Freshwater pearls, very nice quality! The luster is beautiful. Congratulations!

Unfortunately, most Freshwater pearls aren't worth much in terms of resale - the pearls would be worth tens of dollars rather than hundreds. The clasp appears nice, but most jewelers or stores that would be interested in buying items like this would be paying for materials only, not craftsmanship, provenance or artistry. So you'll likely get offers much lower than you were hoping.

I would highly recommend keeping and enjoying the pearls yourself - might as well! :)

thanks for the responses do you have a rough ball park of what this would be worth

Kurt, Please check the clasp and let us know what markings you find on it. If karat gold, the value will be higher than if 925 or silver. Are there stones in the clasp? Also the length of the shortest strand and approx size of the pearls. Do you have an idea of when and where your Mother got the pearls?
