Well, my hunch is freshwater pearls, probably not bead nucleated. We affectionately called this color "pondslime," having varigated colors with bronze, tan, gold, lavender shades. What size are these pearls?
That's Hysterical!!! But I am pretty sure that putting "pondslime" in the search bar, isn't going to help me. They are 8.5 - 8.8 and the necklace is only 16" and I wanted it longer anyway, so getting rid of any and I can't wear it. I love the soft colors and variation I am going to call them "hydrangea pearls," they have quite a bit of pink.... still can't put that in a search bar...
You might want to consider alternating with smaller pinkish or bronze pearls or a neutral gemstone to have additional length and give you the option of removing the most damaged pearls. It will be fun to see what you come up with.
