What kind of nucleus does this have?

I am a newbie but have been lurking for a while. In 2010 I bought this ruby and cultured freshwater pearl ring & was curious of what kind of nucleus it has. Things to know: It was about $30, 10.5-11mm, good not great luster on top but poor towards the bottom, kind of oval shaped, bottom flattens a little, there is a tiny raised circle under the nacre on top(wouldn't photograph)...other than that I don't see anything inside. Even though you can't tell the nucleus based on looking, I'd really appreciate any opinions. Thank you. Here are some pics, but please excuse the poor quality and dirty ring.

Hi! If it is a freshwater pearl, then there is most likely no nucleus, especially in that size. It seems like a regular 100% nacre (tissue nucleated) freshwater pearl....but let the experts speak..

I still can't get over the fact that you got this ring for $30. It's cute! Amrita is right, the probability that it has no bead inside is very high.
