I recently purchased some pearl necklaces while overseas I have done the tooth test and get a mildish gritty texture, scratched them together and get a chalky powder so im about 80% certain they are real I am just not sure what kind of pearl they are or what a price range would even be for these if anyone can help It would be greatly appreciated.

You've got what we would refer to as Commercial Grade freshwater pearls, originally from China. The pearls look to be in the 10 mm range and wouldn't be worth too much. I have seen this retail on a website recently for about $200, which would be pretty standard retail for something like this.

If you are getting a chalky powder from the pearls, you are rubbing way too hard! You are eroding the surface of the pearls (think scratching or filing down) and that is not good. It shouldn't take that much effort to test the grit of the pearls.

How would I sell these to who or website? How would I advertise them?

Selling as a personal party is going to be difficult, especially online. That is very different from a retail store selling them. What you have is availble 10,000 times over on eBay from a few dollars per strand.
