What are these yellow pearls? Art deco necklace?

I was browsing eBay and saw this necklace I am wondering what kind of pearls are these. The seller mentioned it's an Art Deco piece?

I would say they are older Akoya pearls. There seems to be enough irregularities and variation that they are genuine pearls. And they are yellow enough that they could be from the indicated periode.

Interesting. Check out the close up photo 3, pearls to the right of the clasp. There's a drill hole I'd sure like to examine~

They "scream" Akoya to me.

So the yellow colour is from aging and not because they started out as yellow? I was wondering if they could be golden coloured akoyas.
