Hurrah! I've gotten Tahitians to play with. Can't wait! They are circled and banded but they have the colours of the rainbow and I don't have any where near the budget for similarly gorgous ones in round. I am not very conventional to start with and so banded baroque Tahitians suits me just fine

The picture is from Kojima Pearls. I should get them some time next week.

I need to make a tin cup necklace and bracelet along with a pendant and hook earrings for my husbands niece who is having her konfirmation in three weeks. But the rest of them are all mine.

Those would be just what I like, so I can't see anything ugly about them! :)

Nothing ugly there Karin - good color, shape and luster on those two strands.

Anything from Sarah is done with a true "pearl eye". Unusual but incredible- in this case the rainbow of colors and echoing of shapes. Congrats on being the one to get it!

Thank you all :)

I am so excited to get them. Last fall Sarah had 6 of these strands. They went fairly fast. And now they were back, another 6 strands, and once again I thought they would go to other loving homes. So I feel very greatful to our niece that she provided me with an excuse :)

For a little while longer the rest of the pictures of my 32'' strand are still up: http://shop.kojimapearl.com/products/32-circle-tahitian-drop-pearl-rope

Let me see... For me, a necklace, 18'' or longer? Maybe a pair of earrings and maybe some left over just to feel happy knowing that there are still some rainbow pearls left... And all the fun of sorting them and deciding on clasps. It does seem like very good value

And they have arrived!! Actually I picked them up a week ago but trying to photograph what they look is a nightmare. Especially since they never look the same. I was amazed of the difference between seeing them in shade and full sun. In full sun they were mostly all silver, even the deep green ones. But in shade all the colours happened. They are so colourful and lovely! A few surface blemishes but nothing bad and certainly nothing compared to the price.

They were graduated for size and I sorted them into three piles: mostly green, mostly silver and mostly pink. I have posted a thread on The Lowly Beaders to show what I made for the niece: https://www.pearl-guide.com/threads/konfirmation-present.4808/

Now I get to play with the rest of the pearls soon...

Yummy Yummy. I notice the tried and true paper towel shot! :)

I finally, not only got the parts for my own pieces, but finished making them - AND took pictures!

Rather than throw in the pictures for the third time (they are already on Lowle Bearders and Show Us Your Pearls), I'll just refer the curious to https://www.pearl-guide.com/forum/show-us-your-pearls/4620-my-pearls-2.html, post #29

Let me add, though, that I have found the Tahitians much more useful than I thought. The combination of being colourful, not so big and with a dark hue works so well with my colourful clothes, much better than I hoped. Right now they are the pearls I use the most in any combination of two's as I don't like to wear full sets.
