Since it looks like the field trip to the Jewelmer Pearl farm and Flower Island is not going to happen, it might be an alternative between the Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair, which ends on February 13 and the start of the Hong Kong Fair on February 2oto go on a field trip to the Burmese pearl farms in the Mergui area.
We need to transport ourselves to Ranong, around 4-5 hours from Bangkok and cross the border by boat to Kawthaung (Victoria Point) , opposite Ranong.
There is the Mergui Princess is a fast and comfortable live aboard with 3 air-conditioned private cabins which can accommodate 8 clients and 4-5 crew members. It is 60 feet (19.lm) long.
