Thrift Store Finds!

Hello Pearl Peeps,

Yesterday I found a super cute sterling silver, pearl and glass bead bracelet, which I LOVE, at a thrift shop and a couple other little surprises. But, I don't know how to identify pearls yet. I think the earrings are Silpada BC there's a Silpada hallmark on the front of the earring. I would say the necklace is made up of freshwater pearls and tourmaline chips. The bracelet freshwater pearls and maybe the pink balls rose quartz. The earrings I am thinking the top pearls are cfwp and the bottom are faux/glass, they just have a different look.
Wondering what other members think.

I agree, although it's not impossible the lower pearl on the heavily tarnished earrings are pearls. If you rub the lower pearl of the two earrings together or against the edge of your front tooth (after cleaning the earrings!) you can feel if they are slightly gritty or not. Gritty = real nacre.

Awesome! I cleaned the earrings and all the pearls are gritty. Yay! Thank you, SA and PD! Some of these little gems are staying in my own jewelry box! I think the tourmaline colors will work nice for Christmas.
