At the Pearl Paradise 2012 Ruckus, these pearls were brought out of "Vaults and off "Necks" to be part of this photo.
If you weren't part of the set up and know the answers, we would like you to guess what these strands are. The answer will be disclosed in a few weeks.

ok... I'll try.

From the bottom up:
Natural, wild pearls
South Sea
Freshadamas
Metallic freshwater
Akoyas (probably hanadama quality)

I'm sure I got at least two right... LoL.....

Not too shabby, Ivona. You got some right;) Here is another shot without the small strand on the end. This was shot in the lobby. A different light might help a bit.

Special pearls game - pearl paradise

I know which is which, but I can't tell the difference. Except for the large one,LOL!

Different light? ... hohoho- doesn't help me at all.

Now you confused me completely, Jeremy.... This picture does not help at all !!!
Now I see SS and akoyas only......

Maybe it's
SS
metallic
hanadama natural
hanadama pinked....

I don't see freshadamas anymore..... You are playing with my head ... LoL...

by the way.... I would not mind to have any (or all) of those strands.....:)

Wow, they are amazing, especially the big ones on the outside!

DK :)

From the outside inwards, I reckon:

1. natural pearls
2. white South Sea pearls
3. freshadama pearls
4. natural (not treated) akoya
5. normally-treated pinked akoya

DING DING DING DING.... I think we have a winner Ivona!

In the first photo we have:
1.Caitlin's Persian Gulf Bahrain wild natural pearls
2.Next are rare Gem Grade South Sea Pearls hand selected by Jeremy
3.Metallic freshwater pearls
4.Natural color Hanadama grade akoya
5.Pinked Hanadama grade akoya.
In the second photo the Persian Gulf pearls were removed but the others are in that order.

I knew it wouldn't take much time on Pearl Guide, lol. Good job Ivona! Amanda was also very close. The strand of metallic whites were 8-8.5 mm and some of the pearls in the strand deviate more than 5% in shape, so we had to grade them AAA instead of freshadama. The reason the pearls are on that board is because I haven't drilled the South Sea strand yet.

Right now I'm giving myself a big pat on my back. I'm so proud of myself. .... This forum thought me a lot!
Thank you all!

And one year I'll get to L.A. For the ruckus........pictures are beautiful thing, but I wish I could play with those pearls a little....( sight)

It is just amazing that the metallic freshwater pearls can go toe to toe with the Hanadama and white south seas. Wish we would have included a strand of the freshadama in the beauty shots.

That is for sure Newberry. I am so thrilled we purchased our strands when they were available. We will have to plan our shots next year and select things we haven't shown yet. Only 350 more days..... Yes, I am counting.

Thanks for the great photos and reporting LFS,

I NEVER thought I would fall for the ultra shiny white ROUND metallics, (the lover of baroque, colored pearls that I am), but I too, just had to have a strand!
They ARE amazing! I just have a Pentax pocket camera~taken in a light box.

This is the loose strand Jeremy helped me select next to his natural hanadama which has the clasp.

This photo was taken on Sunday when the Ruckus met at Pearl Paradise. We were comparing the loose strands of Metallic freshwaters to natural color Hanadama's.
