Rikitea Blue bodys on a play date

Thought it might be fun to show a couple of round blue body Rikitea strands from Pearl Paradise. Plus a couple of old friends also from Pearl Paradise. It was a great afternoon playing with pearls with friends.

The above are the new blue body Rikitea round strands

With my baroque blue body strand

The top strand is a baroque black body blue overtone

Jeremy was very kind to send me the two Rikitea strands to view. I so wish I could keep both. The midnight blue and the teal blue are both gorgeous in different ways. The dark blue strand looks best in natural light -- either outside or near a window it really shines; it looks almost black in fluorescent light, but still lovely. The teal strand really pops, and I hate to let it go -- I know it will find a good home soon.

Since both colors are beautiful, the final decision came down to size for me. I want a 20-21" strand, and Jeremy has a few 11-12 mm loose pearls that match the darker strand, so I have the opportunity to have a longer strand with larger pearls at center front. If similar loose pearls were available for the teal strand, I likely would have chosen that one. I hope some day I will find a baroque strand with that kind of coloration.
