The largest one in the picture is 10.63 X 5.60 X 3.42 mm
The smallest one in the picture is 7.15 X 5.10 X 2.79 mm
The color is actually a nice iridescent white, the photo makes it look yellowed, which it's not.
Very nice luster, I would say. But what do I know? Not much!
Please help me identify the type of pearl. Thank you so much for helping me out with this one...
I have researched this, and it's hard for me to find anything similar.
I apologize for my photos, it's a point and shoot camera.

Hi, afraid I have to agree with Caitlin and Wendy. Got to come down on mother of pearl beads too. Sorry. I have loads of those, very similar. Couple of necklaces in fact. They are not worth much. For the full necklaces that I have I could put around $40 on each. So a few beads ????? You should be able to make a nice pair of earrings out of them. Add some little gems for colour and use either silver or vermeil.

My gut tells me these are Mother of pearl "chip beads". The part of the shell that is not really usable for Beads or Buttons. They are drilled & smooth like other semi precious stone "chips"

They are not expensive or rare. A 16" strand can be easily had for less than $2.00 USD and Up.

Beading stores & places that sell crafts such as Michael's, Hobby Lobby, Joanne Fabrics & crafts & Fire Mountain gems sell them.

Thanks for looking. Mom always thought these were white abalone pearls.
There is actually a long strand of them...
But now that an expert has looked at them, I can see they are probably not.
I see, tumbled shell. Really appreciate your professional knowledge! Thanks

They do have a lot of tumbled abalone shell chips, just like that one, only abalone. I recently bought about 15 abalone chip strands for $9.99 on eBay because I wanted one and there was no other choice. They are definitely not as blingy as your shell chips are. (Should any reader here want one for free, then PM me for my email address, then Paypal me a buck for the postage, along with your address. and I'll send you one. It would be doing me a favor, really.)

Abalone pearls are so rare and so odd shaped, I have never seen a necklace of them.

Agree, looks like polished mother of pearl.Caitlin, a strand of round abalone pearls is one of the common inquiries we are getting ;) To see what it could look like we placed a few of our free form abalone pearls next to each other:

That is gorgeous!! I know what to put on my if-I-win-the-lottery list. :) (NZ Natural Pearl, it looks like the website in your signature isn't up to date).

Thank you for the hint wild onion, the link should work now!!price reflects the time of holding your breath while drilling ;) But it is possible, we calculated a price of $4000 for a choker necklace once (pearls average of 4mm) but even a small single pearl can make a statement:
