Morning all (at least, it is here!).

I've got some granulated pearls on order and have an idea for a necklace design that I might try out. The thing is, I'd need to use something that will help the necklace hold it's shape a little for it to look right and am not sure what to use. Previously, I've only used silk or Beadalon Dandyline. Can anyone give me any advice on whether beading wire (or something else) would be the best way to go? If it is, any hints and tips for using it?

My concerns with wire are mainly around the pearls rubbing on each other, and the horrendous mess if it broke, since they wouldn't be knotted!

Of course, knowing me, the pearls will turn up and I'll decide the design won't work (must learn to design then choose pearls, not choose pearls then try to design!), but hey, at least I'll be prepared if I do give it a go!

Share your wisdom folks!

Having a design in mind is great, but then the pearls often have their own ideas:) Seed beads work well for spacers with pearls on coated wire. You can always interspace crimps in your design as well and disguise with crimp covers.
Good luck!
