i never knew that there was so much conversy happening in the world of pearls i throw them overboard without a second thought. oysters grow wild up here,most have died due to fresh water(too much). scallops are full of pearls in places here.someone inquired about how they get started,,, by dragging in them ,some gets filled full of sand and there you go couple years later pearls, they can be found anywhere inside their shells,no matter what size the shell is. dont mean to change the subject but how about finding purple pearls in mussells,no problem,,,nice ones thanks for whoever started this site.
