Potential Pearl Oysters?

I'm really interested in buying oysters that may or may not have a pearl in them. Not the ones that pearls have been planted in... I just love the idea of not knowing what you're going to get, whether you're getting one or not, not knowing what size it will be... Does anyone know where I might be able to find such a thing? Thanks!

To my knowledge, no such oysters are being sold by pearl farmers.

Go to your local sea food market and buy a bag of oysters. You never know when you might get luck!

Or dig for quahogs (clams.) I've never found a pearl but some lucky folks have.

Natural pearls are very rare.

You may need to join Lagoon Island Pearls when he is on a pearl hunt. If you're lucky you may find one.

It's illegal in most countries for pearl farmers to sell oysters to the general public.
