photographing pearls

Anyone have any tips and hints on the best lighting/equipment to use to capture the color and luster of pearls?

this is something I've been struggling with for quite some time, and am thinking of purchasing a photo light box from www.mkdigitaldirect.com

I'm looking at the Gem-eBox. Does anyone have any experience with this system?
