Pearls: opulence and obsession exhibition

Hi everyone

I just thought I'd let you know of a pearl exhibition I went to a few weeks ago at the Australia Museum. Here's the link:

The exhibition itself was very educational and informative, and I'd recommend anyone in Sydney, Australia who's interested in pearls to go and see. Some of the pearls on display were amazing, and it was great to see pearls from other molluscs as well (eg conch).

It appears that they had a nice variety of different types of pearls and influential jewelry pieces as well! There was an exhibit very similar to this in Houston in 2004 at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. It was called 'Pearls: A Natural History'. Some of the same pieces that are on the website link you provided were at the show were also here in Houston at the exhibit. I wonder if it's the same exhibit.

Does anybody know whether the attached document is from the exhibition in Houston? The file is in French, but maybe the pictures are sufficient.
