pearl remount

Hello All,

I am looking for a reputable jeweler who can remount an abalone pearl. It is genuine, however, it is not drilled and the ring mounting originally had a post to mount the pearl, but was damaged accidentally. The ring is sterling silver, and does have a "dip" in the shank to accomodate the pearl. Does anyone know of a resource I may contact to have this performed?

Well it depends on where you live but I would just take it down to the local jeweler and ask for a quote. I would also ask if he/she is doing the work or if they send it out somewhere to get the work done.

@ tammyk73 where are you located? Someone here on this forum may be able to help. Otherwise, a local jeweler can quote you (you should ask them who will do the drilling and setting.)
