I have a lovely string of 93 pearls that are my Mother in Laws, which she bought a few years ago.

There is a few sheets of info from the jewellers she bought them from with the pearls, one of which she thought was a certificate, but I dont think there is one included.

What is written under "Appraiser Notes" is "With GemA Pearl Report no 01xxxxxx dated July xxxx. Weight of row 80.10 ct.

We have asked the jeweller where is this report and he has suggested we need to pay for a new one. That doesnt seem right to me.

Does anyone know what this report might be and whether it might authenticate them in any way?

Is it possible to get a duplicate?

Thanks

Ritchie

I'm not sure the lab is still operating, but the school is. It's headquartered in London, England. Search the web for Gem-A.
